Lithuanian composers chamber music has undergone various experiments. It is this sphere that our composers have tested their ideas in time and space sensation visions. Since the 60s of last century they have devoted a great deal of their attention to chamber genres. Senior composers (J. Juzeliūnas, F. Bajoras, V. Barkauskas, B. Kutavičius) have tried to apply novel composition techniques coming from the West and to present them as thoroughly balanced models. In their works they have classically interpreted genre canons. Unexpectedly, certain musical expression models enhance the illusion of chamber music sounds in both classical and genre works. Whereas, the composers of younger generation are not sticking to traditional chamber music canons. In the chamber music compositions the most radical creators include even brass and drum instruments whose nature has nothing in common with soft chamber sounds.en_US
