Abstract
The aim this Final Master Thesis is to understand how and why ACB (Spanish Basketball domestic league) attendance figures have fallen to an all-time low and try to propose some action plans in order to reverse this situation.
In the theoretical part of the thesis are going to be defined and presented the main points that must be worked upon in a sports league Marketing Model Plan in order to increase relevance and fanbase. Moreover, ideas brought from some marketing experts will be used as well as other sports marketing experts’ suggestions and recommendations.
The analytical part will try to understand where the Spanish domestic league is currently and a questionnaire to some Spanish basketball fans will be done in order to understand where are the main touchpoints that must be worked if the league wants to improve.
To conclude, once the issue is understood, the strategy followed, next steps and some recommendations given by experts, this paper will summarize a complete 360º marketing plan in order to bring back the relevance of the ACB from the league perspective and also from a few participating clubs.
