This may serve as an impetus for succesful, competence-centred individual studies. The authors present the idea of the new approach to teaching the basics of holographic interferometry in English. They argue that a traditional teaching model that is aimed at the realisation of a particular subject system may be changed by the reflexive problem-based study model, which stresses the importance of the development of students' skills and abilities when carrying out personal research and investoigations while discussing the results with their group of friends, peers and teachers.
